I haven't done this yet (have my amp but waiting on the brown truck to bring my speakers) but I've read that this amp vastly prefers speaker level inputs to the RCA inputs. This is the first amp I've heard this on in the 25 years or so I've been messing with car audio. Just my $.02

i have also heard this but never got any solid evidence that made me wanna cut the rcas off my wiring harness. the guy at the stereo shop gave me a weird look when i told him i heard the amp prefers high level input. so im curious to hear if it makes a difference in the performance of the amp. b.t.w. where did u read this??

this is correct information and also, when using high-level speaker wire inputs instead of the RCA jacks, you do NOT hook up the remote wire.
I've read post after post after post of this and what's happening is folks aren't reading the install manual properly or simply missing the notation about high-level inputs. The amps are designed to turn themselves on with the high level signal from the radio. (THIS ONLY WORKS FOR SPEAKER WIRE INPUTS, NOT RCA INPUTS) This configration then turns the remote wire on the amp into a "remote out". If you do like others and connect the remote wire to accessory power, the amp will then feed power back into your accessory circuit causing you to stand there and scratch your head saying WTF after your turn your ignition switch off and your dash lights stay on and your radio continues to play.
