I talked to Gerald Rinehart at a show for 30 minutes , he told me the difference in power between the classics and extremes is almost nothing , they turn very similar numbers , you should get the look you like , he also said the 3.5 mufflers are louder but the 4.0 mufflers had a deeper sound , he cranked up 2 bikes to show me and I agree

The new Rinehart classic design is what I put on my '09. The the head pipes are stepped from 1 3/4 to 2". I also got the 4" chrome tip mufflers. I like the looks a lot better than that jumbled mess of the extreme series.

I'm running the V&H Power Duals with the Rinehart 3.5"s and couldn't be happier with the look, sound or performance.

I talked with my mechanic at my local HD. He suggested to get V&H power dual heads. the 2-1-2 will give then newer bikes the best back pressure for better power and torque. He also suggested the 4" Rinehart slipons. I'm going black. He stated he has had several warranty issues with the Rinehart head pipes because the ceramic coating keeps coming off. That's why he suggested the V&H head pipes with the Rinehart Slip ons.

I put the 2-inch Rinehart true duals (headers) on my 2010 FLHXSE Concord Blue along with the Rinehart 2-inch mufflers. Also I put a ThunderMax on, replacing the stock ECM completely (now in my saddlebag in case I ever need to use it out somewhere). The Rineharts give me our exhaust capacity, plus they have O2 sensors. The ThunderMax gives me the exact best air/fuel mix, based on the O2 sensors, remapping continuously as I ride. Now I get about 100 hp outa my 110 cc. I didn't my the true duals in order to be able to have a wide range of 1.5-inch slip-ons available in the future. I've chosen mufflers already. Yes, the cross-over from the rear cylinder is close to the oil dipstick but I don't have any trouble removing it to check my oil and the dealer's techs haven't mentioned any problem. Just cross 20K mileage, so I've had a few oil changes. i love the way it sounds and the massive power, both torque and hp. It gets me out of many tight spots in a flash! And that's why I have them both.

I have no idea on the newer pipes, my 04 has true duals 'old school' I guess, they sound great on full throttle, especially when my wife says "I love that!"

We didn't like the "X" nor the pipe routing down near the left passenger footpeg. Mr. Rinehart is very nice, true.

Went with the V&H Dresser Duals. Loved the fact that only the rear cylinder header had to come off to change the clutch cable for the apes. So easy.

Oh yeah, ugly! I saw the setup in person - yikes!! I had the last generation of Rinehart true duals on my '07 FLHRS but I'm going to use Vance & Hines headers with 4" Rinehart slip-ons on my Road Glide Custom. Funny how some people think a true dual exhaust is one piece. When I tell 'em what I'm doing they look at me and say "Oh you've got slip-ons?" Guess what folks, your true dual exhausts slip on to the header too!
