I have seen various gopro threads and I am searching.

What I am looking for is what mounts have you all used or tried on around or with your Harley. What mounts fit the engine guard the seat post handle bar mount or the roll cage mount.

Any input ideas how to use your experiences etc. all welcome to comment.

PS i just ordered the Hero 2 motorsports edition.

I use the Contour GPS model. My preference is to mount on side of helmet so you can have better control over what is filmed and it reduces vibration

I like the engine guard mount (GoPro seat mount). Mounting it there gives a good picture of the front tire & rim while capturing the ride and scenery. I wasn't down with sticking mounts to my helmet or the body of the bike.

The handle bar mount works good on the engine guard, I also use the suction mount on my windshield and have on of the base mounts on my inner fairing, just depends on what view I want, you're going to love it once you get used to it.

Handle bar mount works well for engine guard. GoPro will pick up electrical noise at times when close to engine but it's not anything to worry about. I use the stick-on mounts on my helmet, one on the side, one on top. Both catch the wind a bit and you feel it in your neck, side mount will get your nose in the picture if not aimed right. Move your head around slowly for best video results. Pictures or video always seem to turn out great.

I use the suction cup mount on the front fender. It takes the whole bike out of the picture and it very stable when riding. The handlebar mount works good on the crash bar, i just didn't like the view as much as the fender.

Cool

The only thing i dislike about my GO Pro is the sound,
i try all the settings and i hear many crackle and disturbing sounds....

the video i see, almost all people edit music on them to get rid of the bad sounds...

do you know how to record a video and retain the sound of the bike?

Thanks for letting me know handle bar seat post mount works. The mount on head catching wind is a new thought did not think of that. I was going to convert and use windows movie maker and probably will try cinaform or what ever it is that you can down load off gopro site.

I have been looking at the Contour GPS model. The Contour cameras look like they would be more streamline than the GoPro's.

The Contour also has Bluetooth and an app that allows use of your smartphone as a viewfinder. The app stops when recording starts so one isn't prone to watching the smartphone screen while driving.

Who has found a good deal on the Contour GPS?
