I have a '10 Ultra with the earlier seat, I didn't like the seat and my local seat guy said to try the newer (2010.5 and up) seat and if I didn't like it he would modify that one. He doesn't modify the early seat as he says the construction makes it difficult to modify. Anyway, I got the seat and found the strap from the old seat doesn't fit, anyone with the parts book for the 2011 or newer ultra give me the part number for the strap for the newer seat?

 

Why would you care about putting the strap back on, just saying. In any event, if you're insistent that you have the strap most dealers have a drawer full of useless, new, previously removed seat straps in varying lengths.
