Thanks Mark. But I'm looking for the actual timing advance, i.e., 10, 20 ,30 degrees etc.; not the values evident in the PCV map(s) which are simply deltas to the base timing.
I monitor my timing on my PV and I see 23-25 at idle and as high as 45 deg advance at full vacuum on a stock 103HO and a built 107ci twin cam with 10.5 compression and Wood TW-555, cruising 80 mph under light load will typically pull around 42-43 deg advance
ke5rbd, first off i know this is an old thread. That being said, I've been doing some "tweeking" on my 10 SG 96ci andrews 48h V&H pro pipe high-flow ac. I came across a map you shared for a similar set up. You seemed to be the man when I comes to tuning based on comments I read. I loaded your tune into my pcv and before starting it I looked through the fuel and ignition maps looks good to me but the ignition map is pretty radical. As much as +9° adv. In some places? Is this correct? Any schooling you're willing to do would be much appreciated. I live at sea level if that matters. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Well to my standards now it probably isn't right. Haven't done any PV5 in many years. That was long ago. Let me look into it and see if I can find the map. I can make you one if I can find a stock PV map for 2010 thru 2013 touring. I will send you a PM with additional info.
