new hd curved license plate mount on 09 fltrse3
I just bought hd curved plate mount (chrome) my friend put one on his 2012 street glide and the dealership said they had to drop the rear wheel to put it on is this true or can I put it up on a jack let the wheel hang down and get to the bolts that way? Its way to cold to go out to the garage now uncover the bike and start messing around with it so if anyone has some tips it would be a great help.

Yup! Here is a pic of mine but, you have a RG not sure if it's the same clearance. I got mine mounted with the wheel on and on the lift. Easy access to the two bolts with a ratchet on mine.

curved HD license plate mount instal
Thanks for everyones input I will get out there and get the bike up on a jack-my only problem is that in the winter my wife for some reason wants her car in the garage when she leaves for work at 6:30 am and my bike gets as far into the back corner as possible to stay safe from car doors etc.My bike has the 19 in wheels and led lights in the fender (09 screaming eagle road glide) but that should be ok seeing as how its a little to cold to ride with icy spots here and there I can postpone the install.

I put mine on with no jack and no wheel dismount. Took all of 20 minutes. Is the clearance the same or is the SE fender longer in the back? Either way shouldn't matter. Some light and a little reach and it is a simple operation. HD wants to take a bike apart to do most anything these days...
