Default move license plate below taillight

Is there a way to lower the license plate below the taillight on an 09 Road King Classic without having holes from the license plate holder showing? Any ideas would be great.

don't think so, you could get a "laydown" plate kit-- little bit sleeker

I used a 2010 RK signal bar/plate mount on my EG Classic. worked out great, but I didn't have the holes to contend with

I used a softbrake relo kit to put mine below the turn sigs, you can get black 3/8" plastic plugs from Home Despot to cover the holes. Or you can get a custom cover made.

they make a variety of emblems that bolt into those 3 holes...my buddy bought a 3D chrome emblem/sticker from the HD shop or do like i did and take the opportunity to change the color

Seems that Softbrake relocation plate doesn't fit 2009-2010 Road Kings. At least fitment table in J&P Cycles web page says so. Don't know the reason. Maybe fender width?

Road King original set would be ideal but expensive. If you remove the fender tip there is a set of holes you can use. If you buy a couple of door stoppers between the fender and license plate sized metal plate you can build relocation kit your self ;-)

When I'm done I will post a picture.

Not sure I understand your question correctly, but all UK tourers have the plate below the light.

If this is what you are after then the European taillight assy should give you what you are looking for?

Yeah, they do - maybe you're thinking Road King standard which already has the plate below the brake light. 09-up classics are all the same, I have a 2012, works great.

If you are unsure, just call them, they are very responsive. (208) 561-5031

It's so wrong if you in the UK have that fixed already. In Finland even the dealer was out as a snow man when I asked for relocation. Do you by change know the price of that UK assembly? It should be the whole EU assembly to be fair ;-)

I used the RK light assembly on the rear of my 09 EG Classic, which I think is similar to the UK setup. But I doubt there is room for your plate below the tail light. My plate is 4"or 5"X 7" and yours looks somewhat bigger.
