Default Harley paint or PPG

My bike is going to be painted in a few weeks. I am sticking with the ANV 08 paint colors. Should I go with Harley paint or PPG. Just wondering since its a pearl. I am sure PPG is probably cheaper than harley but will it be close to the same

As long as the entire bike is getting painted, PPG is good paint.

If it is only going to be partially painted, I would be skeptical.

But, most of the paint guys say that the computer matching even takes age into consideration and claim they can match anything.

I would suggest PPG, in case you need repaints, touch ups or wanna paint your garage door to match ( hmmm there's an idea !)

the PPG is available universally, and anyone can get it, mix it and shoot it - chemically you don't have to worry about reactions.

make sure that the paint codes are written down and saved ( like inside the tourpak or side covers)

I second that remark! I'm a painter by trade and I will stick by PPG until my dying day! Harley sells the same damned thing plus their markup!

$185 just for a quart of HD anny paint, then you have the vivid black, clear, etc.
