Well the shorter stroke has some definite advantages.

First off your piston speed will be slower.

Second, the bike will rev up faster.

I just don't like the idea of taking a long stroke setup past 5,000 RPM myself.

I think you made a wise move.

Well said. A 117" 4 3/8 motor would be a blast. Probably like a 4" stroke 107" but with more power everywhere.

You're right, the 117" with a 4 3/8 stroke is a blast. Before we did the 117" the motor was a 107" and there is no comparison. The 117" is a hugh step up in performance.

what is the piston size on the 117" ?

Where are you guys sourcing the cylinder piston combo's?

Wonder how you could build one using the stock heads and not have outrageous compression?

From his original post, he is using Rev Perf 4.125" cylinders. Pistons from Wiesco.

Thanks!! Your bike must be a handful also!! I am hoping to improve the numbers after a break-in period. Put 150 miles on today and this amount of power is incredible!!

Yes, and if you have heads by Dan Vance that is why your numbers are so good!! Looks awesome!

Hell, I've been ridin' 40 years/Harleys about 23 and I'm jealous! This might be my last bike. Just starting on the mods though.

Agree completely on the crank issue.
