Reviving this old thread... Currently I'm running a street glide seat on my RK and I like it well enough, but I'd like to get a solo. The C&C looks nice and the reviews are good, but I'm a little concerned with the 'down and back' part of it. I'm running 16" apes and they are perfect, does the back and down translate directly into the reach to the bars as I would assume, or is it less noticeable up there? Anyone know how the C&C solo compares to the SG seat? I'm 6'1" with a 34" inseam, 34" sleeve length.

I had CC move me back one inch more that their stock setup so I can't comment on their stock "back" position although I would assume the reach would be a more. The stock CC seat will drop you down a bit so the "ape effect" will be a bit more emphasized. If you get a chance to sit on an HD Brawler, that seat would be most representative of the CC Solo. You may want to check with your dealer to see if they would let you try the Brawler on for fit.

Hope this helps.

I had a Mustang Tripper on but found it moved me back about 2 inches, just too far. It was nice for a couple hours but I also need a little more back support..Now i am back looking also!

Might not be your cup of tea but, I found the police seat is super comfortable for just solo.

Holy thread resurrection Batman. That is a super sweet looking Road King!!!! I would chime in on my solo but it had to be custom built due to putting on a 7 gallon tank and still in the shop. Had a Mustang touring solo on the King and loved it. Bought the same seat for my Road Glide and was not nearly as comfortable. Go figure...

I purchase a Mustang solo seat with backrest for my 2015 Road King. This would be my 5th mustang seat on 5 different HD. I can't do without the backrest….
Shown without the backrest

Thanks Mike. Have put alot of time into the King. Those mustang seats always look great. The wife isn't really into riding so its usually the police seat on it. Thinking about going to the spring shock from the newer police. Needs just a few more things then it will be done. Currently working on a 05 1200 sporty. I'll try to get some pics up in the sporty section.

I have a mustang seat with the back rest that I purchased from another member here. It pushed me back about an inch or so, but it was not really noticeable. I just rode out to Tombstone Az for Hellderrado Days. We rode close to twelve hours and about 650 miles one way straight. I had not one issue, I could have continued for another 300 miles if needed. best seat around period..
