Default Klock Werks Flush Mount axle for show bikes only!!

I just happen to be looking for a flush mounted axle for my FLHX.
After reviewing the Klock werks model on their website, I called them to ask what the left side looks like because they only show the right side of the bike. The gentleman told me it is the same on both sides. I couldn't get my head around how this is installed so I asked him to e-mail me some pictures and the installation instructions, so I could understand the product better.

On the bottom of the first page, in fine print, it states that these are for installation on show bikes only, and that they are not DOT approved for street use!

WTF?

I don't see these discalimers noted anywhere in their, or any other catalogue that sells them. One has to buy them first to find this out when installing them?

Bell>> the axle kit is $85, the bottom fork cap is $50, they do not come together, they are separate items hence the $135 best price i've found so far.
Thanks anyway, appreciated

Next up is the tapered wheel spacers for the non ABS bikes. That should complete the front end!

I get the "flush" look, but it never appealed to me because of the horizontal casting of the lower leg just above the axle, and the nuts of the axle holder on the right side; so, I opted for the "clamshell" chrome option offered by HD:

Really like the looks, but thanks for the heads up on 'show bike' only. I don't have a show bike.
