"Year 'Round Club"
Any one else want to be a member? Only requirement is that you dont park your bike just because its winter. (you guys south of the Mason-Dixon line are not elegible)
Club motto: "If it aint snowing, were going!"
Yesterday morning, 26 degrees F indicated on garage thermometer. Rode to work. Roads clear, but there is still snow and ice on the lawns and ditches. I got a big scare when a sheet of ice blew off an 18-wheeler and about hit me. People ask me "aren't you cold" and I always reply "Nawww. Cold is only an opinion"

I'm in, but yooper's specs apply... also no damn gravel (ball bearings) or other grit.
I've experimented with the morning dry roads and there seems to ALWAYS be a kind of frost within the surface grain of the road no matter whether asphalt or concrete. By 10am or later, the pucker factor isn't so great[&:]

I ride whenever I can, but never in snow or ice. Give me a dry road over 20 degrees and I'm there!
