Any one else want to be a member? Only requirement is that you dont park your bike just because its winter. (you guys south of the Mason-Dixon line are not elegible)

Club motto: "If it aint snowing, were going!"

Yesterday morning, 26 degrees F indicated on garage thermometer. Rode to work. Roads clear, but there is still snow and ice on the lawns and ditches. I got a big scare when a sheet of ice blew off an 18-wheeler and about hit me. People ask me "aren't you cold" and I always reply "Nawww. Cold is only an opinion"

Be careful Cowracer, cold is one thing, ICE is another. Hit some black ice and
you'll be having a real bad day. Cold doesn't bother me, but I'm very cautious
with the possibility of ice. Road salt is another demon to the winter rider.....

I ride whenever I can, but never in snow or ice. Give me a dry road over 20 degrees and I'm there!

roger that!

After the big ice storm here in STL, i waited for till after a couple of warm days to clear the roads. (I needed the truck for work anyway). But yesterday was clear and bright and the roads were completly dry.

Road salt...

Not elegible?? aw come on… Wednesday I rode to work (the temp was 27). Low in the morning is supposed to be 22..

as long as there's no precipitation… I plan full throttle acceleration.

I'm in, but yooper's specs apply... also no damn gravel (ball bearings) or other grit.

I've experimented with the morning dry roads and there seems to ALWAYS be a kind of frost within the surface grain of the road no matter whether asphalt or concrete. By 10am or later, the pucker factor isn't so great[&:]

Every day without snow is a riding day for me.

The MSgts in my office like to run into the room and tell me its snowing when I ride.......I chalk it up to jealousy.

(Rapid City, SD). rode yesterday- left the house at 3*F
