Default what would you buy

So it came time to sell my 96 Electra glide. And now its time for a new bike I have 10 to 15 grand to spend on a new used bike. Thinking about going for an ultra classic this time around do you guys think an 07 with 31,000 is a good buy at $13995 or is an 09 with 40,000 a better buy for a grand more. And should I be looking for lower miles? How about an 06 with 4000 miles for $14000. Help!!!!!!

I'd go with the 09 if you can work out a favorable deal. new frame, ABS, and other upgrades that year.

If you look enough you'll find 09's for $14k with good miles. Like 10k miles.
I'd push for an 09 and up if you can swing $14-15. It's worth it for that money.

I think ABS was optional for 09 and 10.

I agree go with an 09 and up the new frame just feels more stable. Go for ABS if your so inclined, I did. Should be able to find some good buys this time of year. I wouldn't get in a hurry unless it something I could not live without.

I forgot to add I'd look for a lot lower miles or a much lower price. Its a buyers market .

Lots of good deals out there...Look around at private sellers, the less than favorable economic climate has put some great deals, from desperate people out there. Even better if you are willing to travel to pick one up.

I would go with an 07 to get away from the throttle by wire
and I would put a stablizer on it for 139 bucks or so and rock on

Assuming you've had your '96 for quite awhile and you tend to hold onto your bikes, I would get the newest model year you can COMFORTABLY afford. I would try to stay '08 and newer.
