In addition to cleaning and greasing the the plug at the fuel injection module, I would also reset the throttle zero position as this will also cause it to go into limp mode.

How would you do that resetting the throttle position?
So does gooping the connector with di- electric grease fix it or is it more complex than that? Ive been making my way around all the connectors with the grease.
I think it's a good idea. It'll help keep moisture out and prevent corrosion. I guess the best thing it does is lube the contact points. Then, as the plug vibrates, the mating pins and sockets may slide against each other rather than digging in and causing the fretting problem. I think it's a temporary fix at best.
My problems were mostly caused by the throttle grip sensor, so I can't say for sure how much effect it's had.
Damn dangerous if you ask me... looks like if this many bikes are having issues the would do a recall. Somebody is gonna get their *** ran over out on the big road!
