Default how low can I go

I just spent the last few hours looking at old posts on lowering bikes. I have a 03 RK Classic and want to lower it. I'm 5'8, 190, and do most of my riding solo. I've decided I don't want a lowering kit.

I'm leaning towards progressive 440's 11 1/2 for the rear. Would this be a good option for me? Does progressive have springs to lower the front and even it out? I'm not an aggressive rider but I don't want to bottom out or scrape either.

I'm just looking for the best solution to have a low bike that is also functionable and smooth riding.

Thanks

11.5" progressives on rear and HD fork lowering kit (lowered front 1")-perfect combo for me and I am shorter than you.
