Default Forklegs help/question

I have a set of stock forklegs from a '08 FLHTC with ABS, I want to have them chromed and put on my 2012 FLTRX.
Pretty sure there's been no changes between the '08 & '12 stock forklegs can anyone please confirm?? Thanks!

if you go here:

http://partsfinder.onlinemicrofiche.....asp?make=hdmc

you can do all your own detective work.

actual part numbers are shown in the cart, jot them down, then go back and compare.

this is a great way to track changes from year to year, model to model and what fits what

2012 parts and accesory catalog: chrome front end kit 46371-08
fits 08-later touring models with abs option (except trike)

The part number for just the chrome lower fork sliders is 46472-00B
says fits '00-later touring models (except trike)

Sounds like you should be able to get them chromed and throw them on.

Ronnies microfiche is a great tool but be careful with it. It is from the MOCO parts catalogs and does have errors. Don't spend a thousand bucks without double checking.

There's several chrome exchange dealers on e-bay. That's where I got mine from... I think their ebay user ID is impress-chrome, or something similar. It was a relatively painless process, and the chroming is as good as it gets. You order the genuine HD, exchange parts. They send them, you dissasemble and replace, send the old ones back, and they credit you for the cores. All said and done, it was around $250-$275, including the cowbells.
