Default Exhaust options for no cut out ex. bags

I have come to the conclusion that if I dont want to have cut-outs in my ex. bags I have to do something custom, or expensive systems like Yaffie or Sinister. Does anybody have any other suggestions??

Default KW

I believe Klock Werks have slip on puffer mufflers that dump down so you can use full stretched bags.

Default ixnay on the puffer mufflers

nevermind...I was just on the KW website and it looks like they no longer make or carry them. It HAS been a while since I've been on their site.

So I'm not sure what everyone else is running?

+1, I had the V&H big radius on my last bike, nice looking, not expensive, and easy to install. A little loud if you rev it, but has a nice tone while crusing.

Yeah I guess I should of listed that above as one of the options. The only thing I am concerned about with the VH is that they will rob me of some of my horsepower.

Just a thought. Is there enough room to shorten head pipes and move mufflers forward enough to install turn down end caps? Heat shields would have to be modified but thats no big deal.

That was my first plan. I was gonna cut the front of the slip on of my thunderheader and weld a turn down onto it. It was pointed out to me that the tip of the TH is part of the performance of the pipe. So I thought I could just cut the front of the slip on off and move the pipe forward well then I lose my mounting tab. I just really really do not want to do the ex bags and fender with one cut out. I just dont like that look.

I'm running Klockwerks short Puffer mufflers with V&H head pipes on mine. Might be a few sets still out there.

I say the big radius. I have a heard them on a bike like mine and they sounde awesome. I think they look killer too. I dont think you will notice a big performance loss. I know when I went from stock to true dual I didnt feel any difference. I know there probably is one, but my butt dyno cant tell
