Default Road Glide handlebars not straight

i have a 2011 RG and the handlebars just are not exactly straight. They are off to the right just enough to make me crazy. Local dealership first said it was typical but I took it back and they worked on it. However, it's still not right and I'm not happy with it. Anyone else had this issue?

then adjust them so that they are centered...it's not that difficult.

you only need access 2 of the 4 bolts and loosen them, adjust bars and retighten.

use the knurls on the bars to judge when they are centered

if the bars are at an angle compared to front wheel, try yanking on the bars.

bars are set tight, but loose enough so that they do move if, for example, a rider tries to tie his bike down with them.

the bar mounts are on rubber bushings, sometimes they get compressed in one position and a yank can straighten them out

here's a diagram of the assembly:

bushings, sometimes they get compressed in one position

I've had the bushing problem, I turned the bushing 180* and re tightened the bolts.

Maybe you could describe the problem in better detail

if they are to the right, loosen the bolts and move them to the left... or vice versa

not sure how else to describe it. when going straight my bars are off center to the right. i did loosen the top two bolts, adjust, and retighten. I have tried putting pressure or bumping them with no success. the dealership said they made adjustments to the triple tree...who knows. will see bout turning bushings

I don't think he is talking about the bars being shifted to the left or right, they are centered just fine. He means they are not straight, when the front wheel is straight the bars are pointing to the right. If they were on a 10 speed bike you would loosen the neck at the frame and twist the bars until they are straight with the front wheel. I don't know how to straighten bars on a bagger but I hear this is a pretty common problem.

I have that problem on my RK. Dealer said there was nothing wrong, and I even had the service adviser ride it and she said it felt fine. To me, feels like my right hand is closer to my body than my left. If I try to even up my hands, the bike moves to the left. They said it was an optical illusion. After looking at it extensively, it may be. My windshield doesn't look centered up. When the weather warms up this spring, I plan to ride some without the shield and see if it really is an optical illusion or is me and the service lady are going to have to wrestle.
