I used the "Ken & Judy" link along with the maintenance manual. Took me about six hours. And used all the original wires and clutch cable with the Wild 1's. Just had to route the cable on the outside of the fairing. Might replace it at a later date.

I just want the bars to come to me (elbows are almost in a lock position), not interested in a taller riser dimension. Is there any other bars that have the same rise as the FLHX stock bars.

I did the Harley 2" pullback bar on my Standard this past weekend. I went with the longer clutch cable since I was already planning to swap out the tranny end cover to a chrome one. Left the stock throttle/idle cable and just bent the brake line to make it reach. Only issue I found is that the throttle somtimes "sticks" a little due to the cable stretch, nothing serious though. I have the new longer cables and will swap them once I get around to installing the cruise control. Overall I am extremely happy with the change and riding with the backrest feels like I am sitting in a recliner....
