nardoindustries --------------- Baker DD6 list is $2495 give or take, I think. That is for the builders kit. Shop around you can get it at a better price. Will be installing mine next month. As far as the price for the used gears...... Ebay does work some times, if not, your up there in my old stompin grounds, sell it for a boat anchor.

I had an SE 6-speed gearset installed on my 2000 EG Classic. It also has the Stage 2 motor and SE touring exhaust. It sure makes running down the highway easier when the miles pile up. Motor doesnt rev as high in 6th unless you want to run 90+, so its a more relaxing ride. Yep, it cost, and no, you shouldnt get one thinking the money you might save on gas will pay for it.

With an 88" and if two aboard, I question a 6 speed, possibly why HD did not use them, need at least a 95". I think there would be a lot of 5th/6th gear shifting in even slight rolling hills. In town, you don't need the extra gears with such a torqey engine. We have a Baker 6 speed on our turbo 107" Ultra, it is the smoothest shifting bike transmission I've ever driven. When I first started driving it I was constantly prematurely making shifts because I unconsciosly was starting to apply pressure to the shifter in anticipation of each shift. Like most aftermarket mods, you will never get your money back out when sell or trade. I always think that I will keep the stock component then put it back in before I sell, but I never do.
