Default Purchase a 2007 or not

I have been reading this forum for some time and looking at all the Harley, Triumph and BMW models to decide what to buy if anything. I keep coming back to Harley and really like the Road Glides over any other bike but have not taken one for a demo as of yet. The problems I have read about on the 2007 models have been discouraging to say the least. I plan to take one for a demo soon as you can still ride here in Virginia. My overall plan is to convert the bike to a trike of my own design and I have a good concept in mind which is nothing like what is available on the market but that is another topic. I have not heard many if any complaints from Road Glide owners but may have missed them. I would like to get some feedback on 2007 owners if possible.

there are a lot of R.G. owners that are happy,, the latest 07 owners are happy,,
Harley is making attempts to make people happy,,
a few of us that ran right out and bought when the 07's paint was still wet,,well
we arnt so happy,,, thus the waitning till spring to see what happens next,,
Bottom line, (even from a complainer) ... Do IT!!

I traded a 2006 Road King in on a 2007 Road Glide last week. Six days later - I'm as happy with it as possible. It's still stock, runs great. It will get slip-ons, air cleaner and SERT soon, but only 'cuz it needs to be louder and might run hot in the summer as-is.

I was surprised at both the smoothness of the RG and the power when compared to the RK. 100% glad I spent the $$$$$$$

If you buy a 07 built after 11/01/06 you will have no problems except higher heat levels due to EPA required tuning. Roadglide or any other touring model is the same bike except for body work and minor items none of which are related to motor or trans.

BTW, mine was a late November build, so it has the "new" map.

Doesn't matter which year you buy, BUT if you keep coming back to the Harley now, it would be a worse feeling if you bought any other brand!!!
