Nice ride coolerman69. I've been looking for shocks only since I have a spare compressor. Do the Monroes really collapse 5.5"? I wouldn't ride it that way. Just for show. The Arnott's only collapse to 9.5". Doesn't seem like enough for the "parked" look I'm going for. Any possibility you could provide the part number for the Monroes? Thanks
Monroe MA785. They are replacements for early 80s corvettes. They come white or black. They actually collapse 5 3/8in. Ridin slammed is do-able if the road is smooth.
Those of you who have used automotive air shocks; are they a direct bolt on and what is the ride quality like?
Better than stock! Love being able to adjust to whatever the road condition dictates. And there is the cool factor!
My wife had rather ride the 05 with air than the 06 ultra with HD stockers.
They arent direct bolt on. The bottom eye has an elongated sleeve the bolt goes through........Easy fix, just cut it off. The top eye is 1/32 too small. I had mine drilled out by my local machine shop.

Mine has HD Profile lowers in the back. No issues with ride, retained air suspension and I can easily do the turns/lean required to teach the MSF courses.
I lowered my SG with the Road6Customs lowering kit.
Dropped it 1" in the rear and I've never had a problem with anything dragging and the ride doesn't feel any different to me.
Still rides smooth and handles great.
