Default WO 575 Install question

Ok, several months ago I have my TG and was going to change the bars to the WO575 bars...I went to the HD dealer and ordered a longer clutch cable, the parts guy ( should have know better) talked me into a +6" cable. I think this is going to be to long, should have bought a +4" I think.

Anyway, does everyone think the same, 6" to much? Also would the + 6 be good for someone wanting to go with the 10" Apes? If so I could sell the 6" cable and get the 4" for myself....I don't want to miss lead anyone, have no idea if it would work for them....

If someone needs the +6 and wants it, just buy me a +4 and we could swap...it's brand new, never out of the box.

Thanks all

Default I used + 2" for clutch and brake line..

worked perfect. You can get away with stock but the clutch cable will be a little tight. You will have to reroute it so it will work. It's a good time to go with the chrome lite clutch and brake cables or whatever thay call them..

went with stock and re-routed as mentioned above. Ran it under the radio instead of behind and over top of it, gaining a few inches. That said, I think +4 would be perfect. Re-routing works for the 575's, but probably not for anything taller. My gain was just enough. If I had needed another inch, no way!

+4 is what you want. Re-routing might work for some, but you have to be super careful that it doesn't pull at all when the bars are turned, otherwise you're going to wear the clutch and have jerky riding when you're doing slow parking-lot stuff. At +6, I'd worry about it kinking.

I used the +6" because it was easier to find and cheaper. The extra length hasn't been a problem. That being said, +4" is your perfect length.

I commented in another post that I used a +2 but was wrong, I used a Barnett +4, CRS strikes again. Didn't need to use a longer brake line as the stock had plenty of slack.

+4 worked for me. Might have missed it but not just return them to the dealer and get the +4?
