Question I=Pod Interface

After checking and doing the math,, HD version of the Interface was over priced.. I found Iron Cross had one made in NJ and was 1/2 the price... ordered it and now wonder if there is anyone else who install this unit..Any Surprises??

I have one sitting at home waiting for me to install it. Looks like opening the fairing is going to take a lot more time than the actual install.

Just did the install, and as I expected the fairing took longer than hooking up the interface. It works as advertised. Now I get to wait for spring to use it.

It's an iPod Nano ... ..... so far I haven't decided on a location. Thinking maybe the left fairing glove box (Road Glide). I got all winter to decide. The good news is, the Nano is really small, so I can put it just about anywhere.

On 06 and newer HK radios it will display the song and you can control the iPod from the bars. http://www.ironcrossaudio.com/ipod-h...dsonradio.html

These interfaces are $125 for vehicles. Nothing different other than the harness...and we get double the cost, at best.

you are also buying an electronic interface that allows the HK to work with the iPod/iPhone. Thats why if you just jack your iPod/iPhone to the in jack it doesn't allow song or selection. You need the gizmo along with the harness

i sent my radio to Iron Cross to have the lights changed in it and added the RCA outputs, iPod interface cable, and rear aux input.

Works flawlessly
