Removed duckbill on RKC now my windshield whistles!
I hated the look of that duckbill thing on my Road King Custom, so when I changed the bars, I took it off, and replaced with the new cap and spear.
Now, I notice when I put on the windshield, it whistles at about 50 and up.
I have both the tall shield, and the short screaming eagle one, that is not as bad, but still does it some.
Anyone have this happen? and how do you fix it, other than puttin that duckbill back on, which isn't happening.
Do they make some sort of fork mounted wind deflector that would cure this and not loook like a total POS?
I'll look at the harley site, to see what they have, but just wondered, I can't be the first guy this has happened to, anyone else?
Thanks

If this is a single tone, then it is coming from one location, if you have multiple tones, then you'll have to do the below a couple of times maybe
take a 6" piece of tape, and apply it to different areas until you find the area that produces the whistle, then shorten it an inch at a time , moving it around to kill the whistle- this should give you the source of the whistle.
then you can remedy it
