I have had so many passengers think my bike is going to fall because it lean's so much. And I had the stand not lock into place the other day when I was in a hurry and of course it couldn't have happened when there was no one around. I pulled up and parked right by the front door of Walmart got off and about 5 feet away and it dropped.

It's easy enough to look down and eyeball that locking tab, to make sure it's engaged.

I serviced the jiffy stand on my 2017 FLHTK this winter, found that the bolt was loose and backed off about a quarter of an inch. No Loctite had been applied from the factory. Other than that everything else was in good shape. Seems like a strong simple system and always worked as it should. I’ll be checking it a little more often now.
