Oil Cooler

Oil Cooler
Does anyone have any insight on what oil coolers not to use. I have the stock HD oil cooler and I am seeing temps of 230 to 240 with a real fat tune in the bike, I want to get it tuned again but I know that I need a new oil cooler. I like the looks of the Pro 1 oil cooler but I don't know how well they work.
Any info would help.

consider that you do want oil temps above 212º to evaporate any water out of the oil- I have the H-D and it works fairly well.
You may get slightly better cooling with out a chrome cover blocking part of the air flow, if you have that on .
If I were shopping again I would consider the jagg.
there is also the cooler that mounts to the underside of the oil pan-- can't remember the name just now
saw it at sturgis and it is nifty ( as long as a rock doesn't hit it) but pricey, like $600
some guys plumb the crashbar and run oil through that
the oil pan changed going into 09 and the oil now flows through a baffle system to have the return oil directed further from the pick up

I've had several and they all seems to work ok back in the wagon train days, I have no experience with the Pro 1. I 've got the Ultra Cool with the fan assist and am very pleased. http://www.ultracoolfl.com/

I'm running this one. don't know how much difference it made temp wise, I do know it was noticeable.
