Check them out here: BaggerNation or on Facebook

Cardboard,

You are correct I don't have CB or XM so I didn't have to relocate these boxes. I believe they also have a bracket to mount them below the stereo.

I ran my ipod to the saddle bag and never have to remove it or charge it, it is all controlled through the hand controls. As far as space, I have a amp in one saddle bag, and I still feel like with the saddle bag lids, and the amp I still have plenty of room to pack for a trip. I dont have a tour pack, so all I have is my saddle bags.. so I would get the stereo you love and the best that you can afford....
Rerb95,

You are correct the best sound would come from an aftermarket headunit! I'm just not sure I want to do all that just yet. I have seen a few and they always have a nasty gap around the head unit due to the size difference between the HK and the aftermarket one. What install kit did you use? Is there a gap around your headunit or is it flush and OEM looking?

Pauly, there is a gap and I would agree that is a bit ugly, I just think that the output of a aftermarket headunit is much much better that the HK. I do agree that the ungly gap is sad, but I dont pay attention to that while I'm jamming down the highway! This stereo set up, is UNREAL! I love it! And the comments that I get is plenty. Wish the cost of this upgrade was less, but I still think even with the cost the outcome is worth it! Got to love tunes! Great work Pauly keep it up! Waiting for the "after paint" pictures....

Ripper43,

Post some pics and you may convince me!

Which biketronics kit did you get?

How much was it?

Did you lose access to your hand controls?

Hawgwired kit is top quality and no gap. $240 to $260. Sony only decks or any brand deck.

Put this kit in my brothers bike. Face plate stays on the mount, you dont even need to pull any of the kit out to change decks. Just bend the tabs back down on the decks cage and take out the screw in the back of the radio. Took me 20 mins to swap in a new deck for him.
Trim ring is high quality aluminum not cheap plastic. All controls are jut like stock except you don't have AVC, no big deal.
