They are a great company and I almost gave them my buisness regardless, but couldn't pass up the savings going through other vendors.
I'd like to hear about the other vendors you went through. Thanks

First off I'd like to thank everyone for their kind words and I'm glad some of you are now deciding to do the same and that the pics are helpful.

I set my gain at one-step above half-way which was level 7 I believe. The voltage I brought all the way to the left and then took it about 1/4 turn over to the right. This gave me good enough sound at loud volumes without distortion.

You only connect the power and ground cables and you do NOT need to wire in a remote lead if you are using the high-level (speaker) inputs. If you are using RCA's with an aftermarket head unit then you would wire it into the remote turn-on wire from the head unit.

I was able to piece it out together and come in slightly under without the mounting bracket. The only guy that would sell me a hard mounting bracket without buying the amp wanted $50.00 plus $10.50 in shipping. This was the breaking point because I would NOT accept mounting my amp above the head unit with Velcro.

Overall for the quality of mounting bracket, speaker adapters and wiring I am very happy with my decision.

Keep the feedback coming and I'd be happy to answer any questions!

I would say to get the best sounds you should replace the head-unit. Not to mention you will get 450-500 all day long for your HK head-unit on ebay or this site. I got a Alpine unit and I love it! I ran my ipod to the saddle bag and never have to remove it or charge it, it is all controlled through the hand controls. As far as space, I have a amp in one saddle bag, and I still feel like with the saddle bag lids, and the amp I still have plenty of room to pack for a trip. I dont have a tour pack, so all I have is my saddle bags.. so I would get the stereo you love and the best that you can afford....

good luck with your choice!

Like others have said, Baggernation ddoesnt make those speaker lids, they sell them, the creater is Cycle Sounds... great company and great product!

For my upgrade I went through Amazon for:
RF Power 6.5" (shallow mount, same one's Yaffe sells) (74.95)
RF Wiring Kit (25.99) (paid a little more for RF wiring kit but increases warranty an extra year)
Sony DSX-210X deck (159.99)

Went through Crutchfield for RF Amp (at the time of purchase Amazon was out of RF Amps, but they were less expensive on Amazon)

Went through Biketronics for install kit for Sony deck (kit and harness)

Went through Hawg-Wired for 6.5" speaker adapters and steel mesh speaker grills.

Since I went through Amazon I can't remember the exact vendors they were "sub sold" under but just search for the product numbers you are looking for on Amazon. I didn't include the BT install kit, the Sony Deck, or the HW grilles into the original price comparison since those are not offered in the Yaffe package and would not have given an accurate comparison.

I am NOT associated with BN nor am I promoting but I appreciate a good deal when I see it. I was so close to buying each component separately but after shipping charges and the inflated cost of the amp mounting and speaker brackets from the "other guys" it didn't make sense.

I would call them or check out their Facebook to see if they will give you a similar offer.
Well I took your advice, and sent them an email asking if they would still honor the 10% plus free shipping.

I think it's been about 3 days since I requested my discount, and I haven't gotten a response back yet. I'm sure a guy that's asking for a discount is pretty low on their list of priorities.

Anyway, I'll let everyone know the answer when I hear back from them.
Unless they honor the deal, but swear me to secrecy...

Kris is a good dude. He is the one I deal with for my dealer orders. He was the only guy that told me to e-mail him directly that actually responded when I did.
