2010 Vance and Hines Hi-output slipon vs. ????

That CAT kills TONS of sound. Before I switched out to my VH PDs, I had the Rinehart Slip On (single muffler) for the 2010 (I still had the CAT). It did sound WAY better than stock, but still too muffled due to the CAT. If/when you gut your CAT your VH will be loud. They (HO SOs) do sound awesome, but they are not a great pipe without a firebreather of a motor. If you switched to the Rinheart Slip On with a gutted CAT it would sound pretty nice in my opinion.
Keep us posted and good luck.

1st thing you should do right now is get rid of the cat.
Doesn't this look a little restictive?
Here's how I would get rid of it (if you don't change headers):

That's another thing. I found a local guy with a 2012 head pipe that wants $50 for it and the shields which i could convert to duals but everyone says i'll lose power doing that too.[/QUOTE]
I think there is also a difference in the O2 sensors between the 2012 and the 2010.
You'd better check on that too.

The Vance and Hines High Output slip on is made for highly modded motors. It is very open (low back pressure on fairly stock motors) and is very loud from what I've read.
So you probably did loose some low end torque.
The 4" Rinehart slip-on was made to compete with the Vance & Hines Monster series mufflers.
They are not very loud, but has a deeper low rumble.
If you want some noise you'll need the 3 1/2" Rinehearts or the regular Vance & Hines.

Definitely torque loss on low end.

the V and H was designed for bikes that have upgraded cams, heads big bore kits, high flow intakes ect. According to the factory they were not specifically designed for stock motors. the only difference i have seen between the HO and the monster rounds is the HO provide better back pressure then the monsters, according to the factory. now i dont know if this is true or not every bike is different in my opinion but if you have not modded your motor probally stick to the monsters.
