Get it, you don't want to look like an old fart do you? Unless you're already one

I did the RG thing, and as much as I loved the ride. It wasn't the same as the batwing. I went back to the batwing within a year. I guess I'm just a batwing guy,but I will never bad mouth another HD as there are good & bad with any model.

We have one of each with the 2011 Road Glide Ultra being mine and the 09 SG the wife's. The Street Glide is nice but the Road Glide handles the highway better, the faring does make a little difference. The 103 is a nice fit in the touring bikes as well and feels a little stronger compared to the 96 in the 09 SG. Still not like night and day change though.

For the driver I feel I get a little better weather protection compared to the SG or the Ultra Classic I had before the RGU. When the wife is a passenger she feels there is better wind protection on the SG or when I had the Ultra Classic.

I say go for it you may get hooked on the RG.

He will feel a bigger difference also because he's moving from an 07 frame to the newer 09+ frame, regardless of which fairing he chooses.

In the interests of not bashing another guys ride....I'll just stay silent on this one.

I've always had the batwing, bought a 2010 RG, it handled good, wind was worse on the RG....i just didn't care for it...back to 2012 SG....

Some like them, some don't....your call.
