I have to throw in another plug for Long Ride Shields, I have their 9 inch flat top Ultra Shield in dark tint and it's perfect. My stock seat was modified by MCC and sits me lower 1", I'm 5'11 and I can see right over the shield. I have the best gas mileage with this shield and it protects me better than the other shields I have tried, and it looks good to boot.

They make many different types of shields, check them out.

You guys may think I am crazy, but I find that I can actually hear the stereo better with earplugs in my ears.
I agree 100%.

Rode my first Street Glide today and found the helmet buffeting was a real pain. Judging from lessons learned on my Fatboy Lo, I'm thinkin' that most of the buffeting is coming from below. On my windshield equipped Lo , I installed the fork mounted deflectors (dragons teeth) and it made a HUGE difference.

I'm 6'1" and the 6" windvest put the turbulent air just at the top of my helmet, the 8" put it up over my helmet. Get something with swoopy trailing edge, it makes a world of difference.

These windshields are excellent. you will get personal service from them. And excellent wind protection. Stereo is easier to hear with lower volume.
Just figure the height you need and style. Highly recommended.

Same for me and I like the look, not to tall , doesn't kill the sg design.

With the original short windshield the turbulences / buffeting was terrible.
With the klockwerk, the turbulence starts at 120 km/h compared to 80 km/h.. That's a huge difference.

Yesterday i cruised at 140 to 160 km/h , just sitting a bit lower than usual and everything was fine .

Next steps are the triple tee lower fork deflector ( 25 usd Kuriakin ) and the SG side fork deflector ( chrome plated 129 usd ) .
