I've had the HD adjustable backrest on my last two bikes and love it. It adjusts easily while rolling and the backrest is loose so it does not rub but rather moves with your back.

I did not like any of the several HD backrest setups I have tried. They never quite adjusted or fit right. Also some of them are very hard to take off. The Mustang and the C & C are my favorites.

I've used H-D, Mustang, and Corbin (with respective seats) over the years. Eventually, I found that proper bars and a seat that fits make a backrest unnecessary. YMMV.

I do. HD adjustable, with my chopped bracket brings the pad down to the seat for an extra deep bucket feel and support. Go adjustable, allows you to shift position to mitigate fatigue, or compensate for different clothing. MCC memory foam mod maskes this pad unbelievably comfortable.
Did you chop the bracket yourself or is that a part they sell for the SG ?
I have a SG seat for my Limited when I take the tour pack off and was thinking of getting another back rest just like yours.

+1 on the HD adjustable. Long rides it's nice to change it up a bit as the day goes by.

I just made a whole new bracket, only shorter.

I have also, but i wouldnt say it was a joke...it just didnt support me in my sweet spot and we all have it. The HD one sadly needed to go lower but couldnt....the mustang one is more functional.....but all this is subjective isnt it.
