It is a little confusing. The base system is controlled manually with the built in toggle, when the thermal switch is added to the circuit, the toggle is left in the on position and the thermal switch assumes control, the toggle can be used manually to turn the system off, but it does not function as a MAN/OFF/AUTO type system. No plans of taking it in that direction, there is just not enough performance benefit from a "mode select function" control to justify the effort/time/money required to make it happen.

If the switch ever goes out on you, you can simply pull it out from the head, strip the wires back about an inch or so (no need to cut the wires), and twist the exposed parts together. If you followed the instructions and used the GROUND side of the circuit for the switch, you don't even need to tape the wires back up, if you don't have any tape. The worst that will happen if they touch something is the fans will stay on even with the switch off.

Clarification, if anyone needs it: if you put the switch in the hot side of the circuit, same fix, but you'll hafta tape them wires up!

Just got back from a 1,759 mi. trip to the smokies; the fans kept me and the bike cool the whole trip! If you don't think downtown Gatlinburg will put a cooling system to the test, you've never been there!

Just completed my first ride after FCS install on new monster engine build in 90*+ weather, all I can say is Im impressed. No noticable radiant heat coming off the motor at low speeds and each time I shut the bike down the fans cycled twice. One time is was 3x but it was pretty warm that time.

Shipped yours today, expected delivery Wednesday. I just finished up a build binge on a batch of chrome and in my haste to get them out I forgot your thermostat, I'll put it in the mail tomorrow.
