But your Towing MPG will suck *** big time..
I would love to have a wanna be toy hauler but not for 12-15 MPG if lucky hauing an enclosed unit... FWIW.. IMO...

I just got back from pulling this from NJ to Fla and back.... no problems.

I installed the harbor freight wheel chock on it for the trip.

I have towed different trailers on family vacations so I could bring along my bike for years. I have a GMC Sierra that gets 19 MPG empty and this is the comparison I have got. A standard 5 X 10 utility trailer with the rear gate installed got 14 MPG. Without the rear gate installed I got 15 MPG. With my enclosed trailer I got 13 MPG. I prefer the enclosed trailer because I know I will not get any road damage from rocks etc. plus the fact if I run into bad weather I know it will be nice and clean when I get there.

I'm with you 100%. I'll suffer the loss in gas mileage anytime to know my bikes are safe out of harms way. Like having your own private garage with you. JMO

Trailors are like Furniture.. You can buy it at Wal mart and then you can get it somewhere else. You get what you pay for imo just have to look at how it is built.

I have had an Adventure Sports trailer for 5 years now. It truly is a one man operation, and no ramp...has air suspension that lays trailer deck flat on ground, then bike rides on a cushion of air on the road. With front cowl, itching also protects your bike, and great mpg

Flat bed trailers are nice if you broke down, but for long hauls you will want an enclosed trailer. I bought one of those Lowes 6x12 enclosed trailers with the drop down rear door/ramp. The ramp is solid, but I did not like the floor of the trailer. So I got 3/4 plywood and layered it on the floor and added some heavier duty tie down D-rings. Put a Pingel chock in the front that is a quick release. Now the icing on the cake, I went to an RV parts place and got 2 spring loaded jack stands, the kind you would find on a pop up camper and put them on the rear. That way I can drop the trailer and still put the bike in it at night and not have the front pop up in the air. It has served me fine for over 5 years now with several cross country trips.
