Just in case anyone needed a visual comparison on the heritage style vs the heritage softail handlebars.

I had the Heritage "style" bars and went with the Heritage softail bars. They are a bit higher and the hand position is much better IMHO. Best handlebar upgrade without changing cables/wires/lines.

Photos:

Heritage style on my '11 road king and the stock heritage bars on the '11 Heritage softail.

And finally the heritage softail bars on my king.

*These will hold me over till I can go with the wild ones 12.5 or 14's but with ABS/TBW and clutch cable replacements it could be awhile yet.

The Heritage Softail bars fit the King without extending cables or wiring? I was told they wouldn't,dammit!

Clutch cable will no longer fit in the guide on the left side but there's enough slack to function properly.

More comforatble bars are available in aftermarket (Wild 1s etc.). My curret pics are with 12.5s. I run 14s now- much more comfortable; about sternum high.

I find the Wild ones are just a tad too wide....
