I hope you're being sarcastic. If HD is only loyal to the shareholders, and forgets about Joe Public the consumer, unless all the shareholders own a few HD's, Harley will go down in a hurry. I agree you have to make a profit and try to make the shareholders happy, but it might be a good idea to try to stay in business first. Many companies have forgot about the consumer while trying to make a profit and have paid a price.

do the parts cost more, or is it the VAT that's making it more expensive? Can't blame HD for your country's tax laws.

Harley's new CEO has to go! His new policies have affected dealers and shops like us which affects the pricing we are able to offer forum members on OEM Harley parts. The guy sucks!

It seems that he thinks this is **** Germany and he can implement policies that go against business free enterprise practices in a country like the U.S. that is all about free market capitalism. The guy is going to cause a lot of HD dealers to go out of business and it is already hard to find HD dealers. They seem to be scarce these days already.

Cool Matt Levatich H-D President & COO has got to go !

Dr. V,

I 100% agree ! Matt Levatich H-D President & COO has got to go !

I have 2 close freinds ( Slabsides and Custom Choppers ) that have
V Twin repair shops, they are located within 8 miles from San Jose Harley.

But MOTHER Harley will not let San Jose Harley sell parts to them ! WTF

So all thier parts OEM Harley ordering is with House of Thunder 25 miles down the road or online PIA !

This kind of BS is typical of the MOCO's past shenanigans. But as long as they pay a decent dividend to their shareholders, nothing will ever change. Sad but true.

To Blarg,I don't mind paying the 15% tax.I usually have to pay it on US purchases anyway when they get to the door. The killer is the 20-30% Deeley Tax that added to the US msrp. The same part up here is always 20-30%more than US msrp.So when I could order from the discount sites,I'd always save a bundle.Plus our tax laws help pay for healthcare.

Great news ! Some judges do have common sense, and understand the concept of restricting fair trade.

I'm fairly new to Harley, but I'm starting to notice that like boat owners, the less time Harley owners spend on their toys, the more time they spend complaining about how expensive they are.
