Default Tour pack to solo seat mod

I am planning to remove the tour pack (to put solo seat without the pack))on my ultra so i need a kit where i can remove and put back my tour pack but the problem is that since i have speakers in the back they(stealer} say that they have to install a disconnect point so i can put
the tour pack back. stealer is asking $$$600.+parts.(5 hours work) is this is this right???
There must be less expensive way to do this. Any idea????sugestions??and i'm sure some of you guys done this mod.

THANK YOU ALL

5 hours is good. I have talked to two dealer and one indy about the same. One dealer said he wont do it the other will not give a firm price, only that it will be around 8 (eight) hours.. The indy was same (around 8 hours) but $20 bucks and hour less.

Have a few buds that have had it done. Looks good but I would not say that it is truly a quik connect. Will take a good 1/2 hour at least to change.

Putting a quick detach on an ultraclassic tourpak is real be-otch. There is a plethora of wires that need to have male/female plugs put on them. Your CB antenna has to be matched to work right. The am/fm antenna has to be relocated to work without the tourpak. The speaker wires, passenger volume control etc. It can be done but the dealer I used to work for wouldn't do it.

Got a bro that did it to an 06 Ultra.

He used the quick detach system, but as been said you have some wires to contend with.
The speaker boxes already have a plug in them, so they are straight forward. You will need to add plug to the harness that goes into the tourpak for the lights.
The antennas he added plugs and then also has antanna mounts between the hard bags that he screws his existing antenna on when removing the tour pak.

Real pain to do all this, but it can be done.
