LED headlight
#22
I ran with someone that had the 4 3/4" led light on their dyna. In broad daylight I could tell where he was in the pack even if he was 3/4 mile behind me. When he was behind me with the hi beam on I could see my shadow projected on the highway sign from his light in broad daylight. Im sold on them and if I could find out where to get 2 of them for my shark nose they would be going in.

This brings up an interesting point that really isn;t discussed much. Why did you choose to mix n match? Are the HD passing lamps better than the TLs?

From everything I've been reading on this and other threads I am going with TruckLite. It seems to be better visibility during the day, just as good as HD at night and nearly half the price.
If I could only find a dealer that will sell them so I can use my Chrome Cash.

Got them on my 11 RK and they are great. I've had HID on most of my bikes but to benefit from HID, you really need the right housing which are the projector type lie those on Acuras, BMW's etc. Sure, the projected HID light is brighter than halogen but the spread is the same. The HD LEDs were designed for increased/greater spread and width coverage than stock (and HID) and the color is really white so visibility is incredible. I say go for it.

I didn't think about it that way. I guess I meant that LEDs are getting less expensive as they sell more of them. Kind of like when calculators first came out, it was over $ 50.00 for one to do basic functions......now you dam near get a scientific calculator on the back of every box of condoms ! You do have a point there, I never did see HD come down from a price.
