I don't think so. Just each one of our experience's / opinions. Mine are experiences, as are Stupid Rope's. I am not sure about Streetrunner. That could have been his experience with them...
My wife has the HD LED on her Fat Boy Lo and I find it to be a vast improvement over the stock lamp and very visible under all conditions. I plan on putting one on my Street Glide come spring.
the first day i moved the bikes around the block after washing i jumped on the dyna with the oem light and really thought i was going blind after spending hours under fluorescent lights. then i moved the electra glide and had a smile ear to ear with just the passing lamps installed. i really think just changing them gives a wider view that is real nice. i won't debate any long range thoughts it was just a great appreciation of what i could see around me. since, i have added the headlight which is all was kury/truck lite.
If you are concerned about visibility in daylight, forget the HD LED headlight. it is invisible from any angle other than straight on.
I have the Truck-Lite LED and it is MUCH cheaper and way more visible in daylight without sacrificing lighting at night.
If you do a search on this site there is a comparison with pic's that helped me make my decision.
I agree, I don't have one but noticed on bikes that do when I am at an angle they are hardly visible. Straight on they are fine
From everything I've been reading on this and other threads I am going with TruckLite. It seems to be better visibility during the day, just as good as HD at night and nearly half the price.
If I could only find a dealer that will sell them so I can use my Chrome Cash.
I have the HD led headlight and auxiliary lights. They work very well at night. Not sure whether an hid conversion would give equal results at far less money but I like the looks and clean install of the HD leds.
I have H-D passing lamps and the TL headlight. They both kick ***, day or night.
The headlight replaced an HID headlight that kicked *** until it went intermittent. The passing lamps are strong enough to ride at night with no headlight.
