Default Vivid black inner faring worth it??

While changing bars this winter, I wouldn't have to do alot more to get the inner fairing off. Never seen a vivid black inner fairing on a batwing. Does it really make enough differance to worry about? Think painted inner fairing looks good on a bike that is a color, but not sure on the black bike?

Thanks

I love the look of my painted inner fairing. I paid $200 for both pieces

It makes a dramatic difference to the looks of the bike with the inner fairing painted. Take your stock one to a local painter though. Some prep will be involved though. Dont pay HDs price for a painted inner fairing.

Like it on mine but it was already on the bike when I bought it (2011 Vivid Black) I think it gives the bike a finished look. Not real sure if it would have been a priority for me if it wasn't already done.

I'm thinking about doing it this winter also. I agree about the finished look. Mine is Deep Cobalt Pearl and I understand your point about how much difference it would make in black...I think it'll make a big difference.

I also agree with the poster who said to take it to a local paint shop rather than buy one from Harley

To me, on a colored bike it is a must have. It finishes the bike, and adds a touch of class. That said on my last two fairing bikes that were Vivid,I just couldn't justify the money for the painted fairing. It just wasn't worth it to me. They do look great on black bikes too, just not enough for me to spend the extra $ on it.
