Primo, your killin me. I started this thread wondering about spending a few dollars to paint my fairing. Now I'm trying to decide which liquor store to rob so I can afford something like that.

Nice

I did a painted inner, chromed forks / lowers and racetech springs / emulators as my first batch of mods... It is no more difficult to take care of and looks as good as it did 4.5 years ago when I put it on.

Do it...

Mine is getting painted next week when I start on my bars. It makes a huge difference. Side by side it makes the flat plastic look cheap.

Thanks
Painted inner fairing was next on my mod list (vivid black looks sweet) before I traded. Now that I traded AC with tuner, headpipes and mufflers will come first on the stock bike. Painted fairing will be second if I don't go with the detatch kit but the fairing still makes my list. Damm did I mention Cams strike my last sentence I am confused again.

It just never stops, does it?
The Hogtunes Hog Pod is easy to disassemble and looks great painted to match; here's mine:

If you have an SG or fairing mounted mirrors, have them painted:

Go for the paint and gauges; if you ride that's what you see!

I can absolutely convince myself every week that a painted inner fairing on a black bike is a waste of money. Then somebody posts a picture, and my whole argument goes down the drain.

But try this - get some quality dash dressing and make several applications on your unpainted version, and you will get a nice satin shine. That might work for you. Until somebody else posts more pictures....

I'm not quite done putting it all back together, but you mean, like this?
