..ok,ok...there has to be ONE nit-picker...might as well be me...honestly, I love the look of the bike, it sure is a lot better looking than the Screaming Eagle gold colored bikes of years ago, but for me, it just seems overpriced. Like someone else said, if the bike had the 120r motor, then I would say it's a go...but the 110's are just not that big a deal stock...and after you drop $40K on a bike...there should be NOTHING needed...so it's a, "think real hard about what you can do to your bike for $5K-$6K before dropping $40K, before you buy it" from me....if your still ok with that...then get it...

Let's see, a reason not to get the CVO, ... um ... how about, no ... not that either.

I can't think of anything, go get it.

Seems I recall reading somewhere that the 110s are basically re-worked/bored/stroked 96 or 103" motors. As such, they're just not designed to deal with the higher stresses & torques that are generated. There are many reports of the rear jug busting loose. not a repair I'd want to get into. A 103" motor, however, is built from the beginning to be just that: a 103" motor.

As stated earlier they are not a 40K bike they are 30K and considering that is only 8K more than the regular RG for what u get I think it's a pretty good deal

I still have my 2007 FXDSE. This bike with the 110" is awesome. I just got back from Sturgis on it this year and it turned 45K on the clock.

By rear jug busting loose" as you say, do you mean replacing the head gasket. Because I had a recall done for that issue and that is the only problem I ever had.

I test drove a 2012. It is a great bike. Plenty of power.
If you can afford it - BUY IT!

You know, I believe it comes down to who's doing the buying. I myself probably would never consider a CVO because after spending 40k plus, I'd still bring it home and tear it down to the frame and do what I do, not very cost effective. Now a lot of guys don't or can't do that and having a bike as beautiful as this CVO RG is a real nice option.....Food for thought

That may hold for the Ultra, but 30K is over 10K more than the Custom, (before mods of course)

That being said, if I had the dough and wanted it, well, you know...
