rokker speakers
Is a hogtunes amp powerful enough to drive a pair of the rokker 7.25 speakers, I'm not looking for concert quality just a little more bass than the hogtunes speakers/amp system that I'm using now can put out. I don't want to spend the extra few hundred to replace the amp, I know it's not a super powerful amp but it's better than nothing. I've done a search and cannot find an answer to this.

The answer is your probably a rock n roll guy like me. With the conventional 2 speaker batwing set up were never going to hear bass like we are used to in a car. It just ain't happening. There isn't enough hollow volume behind or inside that batwing to create the boom boom effect. Some speakers are better than others but the bass thing....I've all but gave up.

You can run the Hogtunes amp, but it won't make the ROKKERs shine like the J&M amp will. The J&M amp is going to provide 125 watts of power which is huge compared to the Hogtunes amp of 40 watts total. The Hogtunes amp is equivalent to a higher powered headunit.
We tested the Hogtunes amp extensively with the J&M 7.25" speakers and the bump wasn't enough to make it worthwhile. It won't hurt, but it won't make the ROKKERs sound the way they should when they are amplified.
