It's all relative - both these bikes will handle tight roads within their limitations and more importantly the riders limitations. This summer I was in the highlands of Scotland on my RKC and we had a few days where it was very tight roads indeed - especially off the main routes - pot-holed, wet, windy, flooded in places, covered in sheep crap (and sheep) and very mountainous. Bike didn't put a foot wrong. My 20 year old son was on a 12bhp 125cc Honda and I couldn't stay with his bike in those conditions - he just ran away. And I'm not a slow rider. Between the King and the Glide - take the King.

I've only riden a RG a few times, at dealer "demo days" and took one out for a test ride for a couple hours one afternoon. But, couldn't get used to the straight fairing. I've had a couple of soft tails, but really wanted to upgrade to a touring bike this time. When I rode the Road King, I knew that was the one. Very nimble, the new frame makes it handle like a much smaller bike around town. But, it has enough size and weight to be very stable on the highway. Plus, I love that retro, cruiser look.

Can't get any better than a Road King.

On paper the RK should be the best handling of all of the touring bikes. It is lighter with a lower center of gravity. Still it is usualy the rider, not the bike that is the limit for speed in the corners.

SG is lower than a RK

The FLHR/C is very nimble for a big girl, she is great on twistys and mountain roads.

Took me a loooong time to get my Road King. So I'm in no hurry to ride it like I used to ride. Just the thought of replacement costs brings me down another 10mph.

But I have no doubts the bike will do anything that I myself am not willing to do.

I love the Kings style but question what the handling will be like in the mountains as compared to the Glide. I'm hoping some of you have ridden both and can chime in... or even opinions from guys with Kings who ride in similiar types of roads. Thanks
I have the RGC and I will say it gets my vote.

As best I can tell, all of the touring models have the same frame, so it should come down to the accessories, which may or may not be the same.
I chose the RGC for two reasons,
1. The wind doesn't shake the handlebars around when you pass a truck or get blasted with a cross wind.
2. I liked the way it handled, it was the most nimble of all the big V twin's I rode, but that is a personal opinion of mine and you may not agree.

Before the RGC, I was on a Heritage Softail Classic, and I drug the boards turning onto the on ramps of the interstate.
