Rinehart Customer Service
Unbelievable Service Story:
I purchased a pair of Rinehart 4" slip-ons for my 09' Ultra from ebay.
The seller indicated that he was a parts guy for a HD dealer in Ohio.
He wrote that as a result of his position that he swapped out his mufflers / pipes frequently.
The mufflers he had listed had roughly 1K miles on them, and the pictures looked nearly perfect. I won the no reserve auction and he shipped them quickly.
I installed them the night they arrived and was in slip-on bliss. After 300 miles or so the bike suddenly got much louder. I wear a full face helmet so I figured that my ears must have popped or sinus cleared.
I stopped 30mi later, removed my lid the bike was louder than obnoxious. I checked the connections at the head pipe and all was fine. I looked at the mufflers and the left side had no baffle. Shame on me for not checking the baffle screws.
I called Rinehart customer service (Tyler) and explained my dilemma. I asked him to sell me a baffle and the screws that were needed to retain it.
He took my information and said " That should not have happened". As a result they would send me a brand new pair of mufflers under their warranty.
I explained that they were purchased "Used" on ebay, he said that didn't matter. They would send new mufflers and a UPS pick-up label for the old ones ...All at no cost to me !
The new mufflers arrived in 2 days and I noticed that the baffle retainer design was changed. The new design would make it impossible for a baffle to eject.
I've got to tell you that I normally don't have this kind of luck. I fully expected to pay big $$ for a replacement baffle.
Some days ya get the bear...Some days the bear gets you !!

That is unbelievable customer service, especially in this day and age. Kudos to Rinehart. Speaking of which, I will have a set of 4" Rineharts for sale in the spring, I just put them on this past fall, went for a short putt, and decided they are too loud for me at my age. They'll spend the winter mounted on the bike while it is sitting nice and warm in my heated "shed", and as soon as it warms up outdoors, they'll come off.
