I reuse them a couple times. My uncle works at a stealer and I have a box full of them and still reuse. No leaks or roundness issues

I've re-used those clamps before with no problems... so far!

On the other hand, they're not too awful pricey so sometimes I do replace them with new ones. IMHO, re-using one one time seems OK from my experience.

I have wonder why you would ask about re-using the clamps after reading that the manual specifically tells you not to .... do you really place more faith in the opinions of the "experts" on our site as opposed to those who have written the service manual? Don't get me wrong, there are some great techs on the Forum that can offer excellent recommendations, but I can tell you from years of making my living working on autos and scooters that re-using clamps can ( and usually does ) lead to problems in the long run. At $7.95 a piece why would you want to jeopardize your $400.00 mufflers for such a minimal savings. Does the phrase "Penny wise ... dollar foolish" ring a bell. Just my .02 cents worth Brother!

Just thinking & wondering, how many times I have had rear tires replaced, never remember paying for an exhaust clamp. I know at least 1 muffler had to come off each time. Any of y'all remember paying for a clamp with a tire change?

I reuse only once. If the clamps are old or corroded, then they are not worth keeping.

I've used them over and over many times. In fact, I've never purchased a new one. I'll continue to use the clamps until they fail to seal, if they ever do. And if and when they ever do fail to seal, I'll probably just add a little high-temp rtv to the equation and continue using the old clamp, or replace the clamp with another used one I have laying around.

Personally, I don't ever see myself buying a new exhaust clamp.

The clamps on my 2011 Limited have been reused at least 5 times that I can recall so far.

My Whirlpool says to replace the filter every month, my craftsman says to replace the blades every season. Bottom line is not every manual is the word of god. Through trial and error with a dash of opinions we find ways to cut corners without cutting quality. It's not a wheel bearing it's a muffler clamp, reuse it until it leaks then replace it.

If I had changed my clamps at every tire change it would have cost about 100.00 with tax. Thats with 64K on my 07. I find they work a few times before they stop tighting up.

re-user, tight wad here too. Until I have a problem, I will continue to do so as well. When I get a problem, then I will make the 45 min trip to the dealer for that $8 clamp
