Exhaust clamps reuseable?

Guys
I am doing a very serious cleaning of my 2001 FLHT and disasembled the exhaust. The manual say not to reuse the torque clamps that hold the pipes and mufflers together to prevent leaks. I'd like to reasemble if it's reasonable to use the old clamps. Any opinions on if it's crucial to prevent leaks?
Thanks

I've used them over and over many times. In fact, I've never purchased a new one. I'll continue to use the clamps until they fail to seal, if they ever do. And if and when they ever do fail to seal, I'll probably just add a little high-temp rtv to the equation and continue using the old clamp, or replace the clamp with another used one I have laying around.
Personally, I don't ever see myself buying a new exhaust clamp.
The clamps on my 2011 Limited have been reused at least 5 times that I can recall so far.

My Whirlpool says to replace the filter every month, my craftsman says to replace the blades every season. Bottom line is not every manual is the word of god. Through trial and error with a dash of opinions we find ways to cut corners without cutting quality. It's not a wheel bearing it's a muffler clamp, reuse it until it leaks then replace it.
