I was wondering if you looked at any other mufflers, fuel moto or otherwise and why you went with the ones you did.
Last thing, I didn't know if you were aware that OUR bike color adds 8-10 HP right up front
thanks for the write up
great color.
enjoy
Yes I considered several mufflers and even some other headers. I've had Vance & Hines and Rinehart products in the past along with some Screamin Eagle slipons on other HDs. I decided on the Fuel Moto products for a few reasons. They are our forum sponsor, they offer a complete line of products designed for performance upgrades, they had a pretty wide selection of types and styles of muffs, and you can pick up the phone and talk it all through with them. Plus others have vouched for the fit and finish of their products. Their site offers several videos with sound that allowed me to listen to the mufflers installed. Plus if I was to have a problem, I felt comfortable that the guys at FM would be fair and do their best to take care of me.

I wanted a muff with a black billet end and replaceable/exchangeable baffles in the event I needed/wanted to change sound characteristics. In addition, I wanted a muffler design that was "different". I got all that in the Pro Touring muff. They are not cheap, but I am a firm believer that you get what you pay for. I get all kinds of positive comments related to these muffs and they sound awesome, so they fit the bill nicely. Good luck with your upgrades.

And yes, the Cherry and Merlot Sun Glo bikes are quite fast!!

Good write-up Joe.
I've always liked that tuner too, and may get one some-time.
I like being able to add things to the bike, like exhaust and cams and have the Rev Perf have the capability to adjust. A BIG +.. in my book..
