I've bought a half a dozen different products over the years from the dealerships like S100 and in my opinion they are no different than Pledge except for the price $$$. Actually I think some of them were pledge with a different label.

Don't be scared!

I'm a convert, thanks to this forum.

One comment I made a mental note of, is to NOT carry the pressurized can in your saddle bag. They can "relieve" themselves due to heat. That said, buy some of the Pledge wipes to carry with you for the windshield.

owned three halreys over the years and always used Pledge. when i turned in my 08 Ultra, they saud it was one of the cleanest bikes they've seen. other than the miles you would had thought it was brand new. im one of those **** guys that will spend hours polishing. i love tinkering and polishing my scooter... riding too of course...

I have used pledge and them spray on detailers such as Wizards Mist and Shine. I perfer the Spray on detailers because they actually have wax in them and tend to last longer. I will go to the pledge if I am out of Mist and Shine.

I see far less swirling using spray on detailers then I do using pledge. They work great for inbetween clean ups after a ride were you did not run in rain etc. They also work far better at softening up bugs.

I like the Lemon Pledge in-between waxes but I picked up that Yamaha spray wax\cleaner when it's on sale it is a wax too. Lemon Pledge is the best all around cleaner for the buck.

I discovered Pledge early this spring, used it all summer and it does work great. When I broke my bike down for a new paint job early this month I cleaned all the sheet metal with it before taking it to the paint shop. Two days later after dropping off my tins at the shop, the painter called me and asked, "What the He** did you put on the paint?" it seems the Pledge actually absorbs into the ABS parts. He has had one he** of a time getting the plastic parts clean enough to stop the primer from creating fish eyes to begin applying paint. Just something to be aware of.

That means it's doing its job. Any good wax will take a bit of work to remove before repainting.
