Sheer quality of ride Ohlins will beat air ride every day of the year. That said, air ride can be adjusted pretty nicely and as mentioned, lowering it down to walk the bike is a nice feature. Both will be a nice if not drastic improvement over stock.

The ability to adjust on the fly is nice. If i'm on a really nice road i'll drop it down almost to the bottom where its the most plush. I like that cool walk away while its dropping feature. A real attention getter at rides and rallies. Best of all it cost less than $200.

Default where to buy?

not to hijack this thread, but where is everybody buying their Ohlins shocks at? I have seen alot of riders mention 'Howard' ....is that his username?

I have also done an internet search but can't seem to find which shock I would need for my bike, thanks.

Monroe 785 air shocks, o92 viair compressor(same as arnott) uses. Shocks are guaranteed for life. Maxed out it is about 1" higher than stock and it'll drop 5 1/2 inches.

so Ohlins gives a better ride hands down it sounds like. I would love to be able to lower at will but i really want the "cadillac" ride!
